Customize Your Gi with Personalized Patches

Stand out on the mat with custom patches made just for you. Available for adult and kids gis, our patches can be crafted in any shape — square, rectangular, circular, or fully custom. Choose between sewn-on for a permanent, clean look or loose patches for flexible application. Perfect for personalizing your gi or representing your academy with style.

How to Order

  1. Choose Your Patch Size & Placement:
    We offer the following patch size options:
    • Up to 4.5"
    • Up to 9"
    • Up to 12"
    • Up to 15.5"
    Select the appropriate size option based on where the patch will go on your gi (e.g., chest, shoulder, or back).

    After selecting your size range, please confirm the exact size you want within that range via email.
    Example: If you select “Up to 15.5,” please specify whether you want 12.5”, 13”, 14”, etc. A patch that is exactly 12” would fall under the “Up to 12” option.

    ⚠️ Note: Square patches at 9” may be too large for the chest or shoulder areas — we strongly recommend measuring your gi for best fit.
  2. Select “Sewn-On” or “Loose" (No Sewn):
    • Choose “Sewn-On” if you are also purchasing a Vulkan gi and would like us to sew the patch on for you.
    • Choose “Loose” if you're applying the patch yourself or using a different brand gi.
  3. Send Your Artwork:
    Email your artwork to design@vulkanstore.com and include:
    • The name of each artwork file
    • The desired placement on the gi (e.g., “Patch A on left chest”, “Patch F on back”)
    • The exact size of each patch (e.g., 4.5” x 4.5”, or 14” wide)

Artwork Guidelines

  • Preferred format: Vector (AI, SVG, EPS)
  • Also accepted: high-resolution PDF, JPEG, or PNG
  • Include a border if needed
  • Complex shapes may be enclosed in a rectangle or circle for easier sewing
  • We offer free design support for layout and sizing adjustments. Design creation and customizations are available for an additional fee. 

FAQs

How long does it take to receive my patch?
Orders ship within 10 business days after artwork approval.
Can I sew the patch myself?
Yes! Just select “No Sewn” if you’re applying the patch yourself.
What if I selected “Sewn” but didn’t order a Vulkan gi?
The sewing service is only available for Vulkan gis. If you’re not purchasing a gi, please choose “Loose.”
Can I choose an exact patch size?
Yes. Once you select a size range (e.g., “Up to 15.5”), just email us your preferred measurement (e.g., 13").
How do I know what size will fit?
We recommend measuring your gi before ordering. Chest/shoulder patches usually look best between 3”–5”, while back patches typically range from 9”–15.5”.
Can I use a gi from another brand?
Absolutely! Just select “No Sewn” and we’ll ship the patch for you to apply yourself.
